Chichester harbour

A vast stretch of water stretching from Hayling Island in the west to Chichester in the East.  The area contains some of the most beautiful views of any Harbour on the south coast.

Harbour fishing in and around the sandbank's and mooring's on summer evenings for those that like fishing on calm sea’s, with light tackle, Black Bream, Smoothound, Silver Eels, Mackerel and the odd flat fish (Bass caught in Chichester harbour between may and November have to be returned). Or why not try fly fishing for Bass!

Things you will need for harbour fishing are a 6lb – 15lb rod fixed spool or light casting multiply 10lb – 15lb line. Flo-carbon traces and about 4oz of weight, all this can be provided by the Skipper. Holiday makers, Dale will take photos of your day and send them to your address or an email address. Species we have caught in the harbour are:-

* Smoothound up to 18lbs
* Bass 7lb
* Silver Eels 31lb+
* Dover Sole 2 ¾
* Gurnards
* Trigger Fish
* Red Mullet
* Wrasse 
* Golden Grey Mullet Black
* Gilthead Bream Flounders

Please note that all Bass caught in the Harbour were returned safely.  The Salmon caught was in a net but it has been possible to catch these on a hook and line.
